Neptune in Gemini

Gemini Neptune Neptune is the planet of dreams, illusions and vision. The last time Neptune was in this sign was in the late 1800's. H. G. Wells wrote "The Time Machine", and it was the beginning of all sorts of ideas relating to how technology can bring the world closer together. The telephone and automobile were becoming a reality at this time; both are Mercurial inventions brought about by a grand vision. Those individuals with close conjunctions and aspects to Neptune in this sign were in many cases instrumental in starting this revolution. However, in many cases these mercurial ideas did not have a very realistic or practical application. Such is the influence of Neptune.

In a diurnal chart, the heat and dryness theoretically counteract the cool and wet nature of Neptune. Conversely, a nocturnal chart would seem to amplify the effects of Neptune in this sign (or any sign). I have not done any research to see whether those of this generation with the greatest impact with regard to these issues came from one sect more predominantly than the another.
