Mars in Libra
According to medieval definition, Mars is in detriment here. This means that actions, decisions, forcefulness, hatred and military pursuits are not well supported here. These natives are constantly having to find a proper compromise between opposing interests and even though they are very persuasive, it seems that no matter what they do they cannot please everybody. As a result, it is the cardinal problem here that it generally leads to indecision and in difficulty in making up one's own mind. It is also common for the native to be put in situations where a conflict of interest in involved and depending upon character, they recuse themselves or sometimes end up standing accused. Since Venus has a tendency to pacify Mars in this sign, it can also lead to lazyness or a lack of self reliance.
In a diurnal chart, the heat and dryness of the day tend to make the energy of Mars more difficult. There can at time be misunderstandings because of rash or rushed decisions. There native has a more difficult time getting opposing parties to agree on issues that affect the native. This individual has more self reliance and tends to be more decisive.
In a nocturnal chart, the cool and moist of night tend to neutralize the excessive dryness of Mars. The native has a greater talent for persuasion and charm with the result that there are fewer difficulties in gaining compromise from opposing parties. The native may have a knack for subtlety and tact in their actions.
