Mars in Sagittarius
This individual is bold and controversial in their actions. They strongly believe in doing what is right regardless of the costs. They can be quite fanatical and vocal about their beliefs. Because the lord of Mars is Jupiter, they lack fear and are very courageous and tend to be victorious. Hence, this position is excellent for sports and athletic contests of all kinds. They need to watch a tendency to bully or intimidate others. They may have a lack of respect for others which could cause a groundswell of opposition that the native will eventually have to contend with. Some say that this can indicate danger while traveling, but it is far more important to look at the lot of "being away from home". If this lot falls here with Mars in the daytime (or Saturn at night) then there is a greater liklihood for danger of accusation and violence while abroad; more so if this lot should also happen to be in one of the four declines.
In a diurnal chart, the heat purifies the natives actions such that their numbers are fewer. The dryness creates greater distinction in their actions. This translates as an individual who is more single minded and fanatical about their beliefs. They have more ferocity and power to intimidate. Because Mars is not of the sect in favor, the native needs to be careful not to offend others with a lack of respect. They tend to get into more controversial situations than their nocturnal counterparts.
In a nocturnal chart, the cool and moist of night counteract the excessive dryness (and heat according to medieval astrologers) of Mars, making Mars of the sect in favor. Actions are considered more often before being acted upon so they tend to be less controversial and offensive towards others than their diurnal counterparts. They love exploration and athletic contests and are full of inspiration.
